The marks are from 1.0 (best) to 5.0 (worst)
In this study for 2001, clients gave their feedback on seven areas that directly affect them.

|
|
The softwares (ABIS on top)
Abis is still in first position (marked 1.4), closely followed by ArchiCad with 1.7.
ArchiCad loses a bit of ground compared to last year, but it narrowly leads
from allplan/allplot, Nemetschek and AcadBau. AutoCad
and Microstation follow in third position with 2.0.
Pointline and Spirit achieve 2.3, a slight drop from last year.
The programs that do not have a wide distribution (too few installations)
do not allow for a reliable estimation of statistics.
We have, however, included them in this graphic, to provide some comparison.
This includes Microstation, AcadGraph, AcadMap, and Cad400
(Han Dataport).

Report quality/price (ABIS on top)

The distributors (ABIS on top)
We note a slight improvement.
Certain products have significantly improved their position in relation to previous years.
ABIS also improved, with a mark of 1.6 and surpasses the competition, similarly to the last
two years. ArchiCad has also improved on itself. AcadMap is in third position (1.8), followed by
AutoCad.

On-line help
This segment has received very poor results.
It appears that distributors do not appear motivated on this subject. No product achieved
the best possible mark of 2.2.
Classification :
1. Allplan/allplot.
2. ArchiCad
3. AcadBau
4. AutoCad (Autodesk)
5. ABIS (Abisplan)
6. AcadMAP
(ABIS
immediately reacted and changed the situation)

|
Training length (ABIS on top)
ABIS leads in front of ArchiCAD. These two products have dominated this area for many years now!
|
|
|
|
Workflow/exchange of data
The capacity to exchange data (plan elements and other information) with other
people involved in a project, is very important.
The DXF transfer (which historically comes from
AutoCAD) has become a standard in the BTP.
Until now, ArchiCad has dominated this domain, followed by AcadBAU, Allplan/AllPlot and
AutoCAD.
(
Version 16 rectifies the issue)

|
SAV and maintenance (ABIS on top)
ABIS, AcadMAP, Allplan/allplot are classed as equal first.
These products have always been precise in this domain. Followed by ArchiCAD,
AcadBAU. AutoCAD trails far behind and loses a lot of ground in comparison with previous years.
